My name is Julia, I am disabled and couldn't get find an employer to hire me. I have my son who live with me and my husband. I am really depress right now because my landlord gave me a 3 days notice already, I gave them a partial payment of $400 out of $1300 but they still gave us the notice, I really have no money I've been asking my exhusband to lend me money because I know he has money and besides I supported him before when he got no job even I didn't live with him, but instead he is taking me to the court that I was bothering him and if I contact him again he will call police on me. I don't have place to go to. I have no family who could help me my sister is in the nursing home because she got a car accident and she totally vegetable and my mother is 84 years old and she is sick. I felt that this is the dead end for me. So if there's anyone who could help me to pay my rent just this month and I will do my best for next month to pay it on time so this won't happen agaim. If i can just get a job, my life would be easy. I need your sympathy and mercy. I will pay you back later. Please send me your email address if you want to. I'm along in this country, I was working but I was found with mandible cancer, and I'm under treatment, so I lost my job, now I can't work, I apply for my disability, but was denied, now I don't have money to live, no money to pay my rent, I'm bagging some one for help please please be sensitive to this matter, I'm desperate, can't find a way to keep living !!!! I have read most of the comments on this page and I have to say some of them are very disrespectful, judgemental, uncompassionate, and just plain unhelpful. Only a month ago I was in the same boat as so many other Americans - jobless, homeless, and destitute. I am an educated woman with 3 grown children. I'm divorced and do not get any type of support from my ex. I was on foodstamps and struggling to merely survive. I got help from an organization called 9th District Opportunity who paid my rent and utlities for 90 days. I was living in Georgia. I have recently moved to another state, where I reside with a friend who is helping me find work. It is so easy for some people to jump on the bandwagon of judging and tormenting people who are down. People who are quick to judge and discriminate are bullies. Bullies build themselves up by tearing others down. What help is this? It's no help at all, but then help isn't on your menu is it? Is your lot in life to kick people when they're down or to lift them up? People here and elsewhere need a handUP instead of a handOUT. It's not easy swollowing pride and asking for help, but when you can't see the light at the end of the tunnel, then you reach out and pray for mercy. We don't receive mercy because we deserve it. We receive because we ask. Seek and ye shall find. Therefore, how can we find if we do not seek??? And that is what people are doing here...seeking. Seeking, but not finding. So, my helpful comment here is to tell you that there are organizations that will help you. Sometimes finding these places is like finding needles in haystacks, but they're there. Call your local churches and ask if they help with rent. Get online and look for rent assistance organizations in your county. If you have children, call DFCS (Department of Family and Children Services). They will not judge you, but will help you. Also, call your county extension office and ask them if your county has a program for rent assistance. Lots of churches have outreach programs that will assist you if you ask. Don't be afraid to ask. People who really want to help you will NOT look down on you. If I can think of more resources I will post. My heart goes out to everyone who is in this boat. I know it feels like we're sinking, but if we work together and keep plugging the holes we'll find safety soon!! :)

To suggest that someone take out a line of credit to invest in one particular ETF or into Silver and Gold is terrible advice.

Only people that live, eat, and breath the stock market should even consider trading on margin.

I think all you struggling folks should buy the VIX in the ETF format in your brokerage account since this bullish rally that we have had this year has been long in the tooth. Many of you need money quickly and do not have the long term time horizon to buy precious metal funds such as the SPDR Gold ETN. I suggest therefore suggest you folks to get a $10,000 line of credit and throw the money into iPath VIX for the short term or medium term S&P500 VIX. Rather than waiting for a spike, what you do is buy in at the lows and resell it when it goes up 5 to 10 percent. This way you can make around 500 dollars to 2000 weekly.

Christians should behave in a "Christ-like" manner.  Based on how you've persecuted those who have come here for help, I see NOTHING "Christ-like" about you.  Christians should also conduct themselves in a manner that draws the lost toward the path of righteousness.  You are doing the exact opposite and driving people away.  Most importantly, Christians shouldn't be judgmental of others, and you are judging people as if you are better than everyone else.

 

Members of Aidpage are here to lend positive support and encouragement to those in need.  Perhaps you came to this site by mistake. 

 

 in response to Neil Hampshire...   Sorry to inform you, I was laid off last May from Sprint Customer service where i made enough money to make it on. Now that I am one of millions on unemployment I get a deposit of 280.00 every to weeks so yes people do make that and less. And it is people like you who discourage all of us. I am in the same situation as a lot of these people. Its not a good feeling and people like you do not help.

Would you be willing to share some knowledge with me?
I'm interested in the physical silver rounds you're talking about.
Even though I have several college degrees, the trading/investment lingo is a little over my head.
