Nor do I remember Christ attacking someone who had wronged him by words or action. A brother or sister in Christ is not meant to hurl words of hate, false platitudes and anger, but to forgive wrongs and pray for the offenders well-being and peace. A devious man or woman can easily hide behind Christs works and words and throw poisoned barbs, but our heavenly father sees the darkness in our hearts and forgives and loves us despite it. Christ died to forgive us of our sins. Are you so above Christ that you cannot look past someone else's faults and sins when your own have been forgiven? Bless you and may you find peace in God's love. Do not give into this temptation of conflict that has been set in the road.

I felt that if you are really a true sister in Christ, you will consider tithing in this very difficult time, and really put your faith and strengthen your relationship with Jesus Christ.

In the States, unless you are a young student working part time at a minimum wage job, people make that at the very worst, bikweekly, if not weekly. You can possibly be a mother of 2 and make only $600 a month because even welfare will give you more than that.

Also try your towns community action program. They have lots of programs from child care to public housing assistance and job training, home heating assistance ect. Good luck. I am a person who have been able to pay my way ,but it's getting so now where money is short every month and my job have cut hours also our yearly raises. I know that there are people that are worse off but what about people who are just trying to stay a float. I just need a little help!

The way to elevate people and help them find a better/Christian way is to pray for them, LOVE and SERVE them and be an EXAMPLE of a better way of life. I would suggest you get yourself into school and learn a trade through the employment office which can help you finance that so you can get to work right away. I am 41 yrs old and have been out of work for quite a few months now. My family has struggled financially alot this year and now I feel like its hit bottom. I just recieved my eviction notice and despite alll my efforts to find work or some public assistance these past few months there's been no success. We've sold anything of value and have no money left. I've even started donating blood regularly for a few extra dollars each week. I don't want my wife and my two little girls to be left out in the cold, but I don't know what to do anymore. I'm not looking for a handout, just a little help with the rent until I get back on my feet or at least until we get our tax return. Please can somebody help me and my family

My son lost his job and his wife just had gallbladder surgery. She got home yesterday. They have been trying to make sure their 4 kids have a christmas but it looks bleak. I am unable to do much for them because I am on a fixed income and just make ends meet myself.

Its very complicated!!! just keep your feet on the floor and your head held high, as high as you can stand. Do whatever you can for your child. I am a 27 year old woman, who survived a tragedy with my 2 younger children. We are burn susrvivors. We lost EVERYTHING and this was 3 years ago. Without the support from friends and family, I dont know where I would be but Im on my own once again and I wake up everyday like if this is a dream or something. I live off of social security which is enough to pay for rent and I dont qualify for public assistance. I m a wreck,,and all I have are my beautiful children..but it hurts inside,and Imean it really hurts when they ask me to take them to eat somewhere that we cant afford or to sign them up with the other kids in activities and I cant.-they say Prayers go Up and Blessings come down..I pray for a better future, good things happen to those whom wait!! enjoy every moment with ur child!!!

 in response to gdhelp...   I've had neighbors bring me cooked dinners, take me to the hospital, and I'm always begging them to let me do something for them. You're right, it does make a difference in how you feel. Just don't get stupid like I did, 58-yr-old single woman thinking I could tell someone's character when I first met them -- but "you" don't! I never wanted to feel this way but those "need-your-couch" people may need it for reasons other than to sleep. There's nothing in my apartment worth selling any more, which I'd thought of doing to pay my rent! One old man did it to me after staying on my couch almost two summers! JUST A LITTLE ADVICE, love and pray for people, but it's not safe any more to invite them in while you sleep.

I recently lost my job of 14 years due to a stroke. I have epilepsy, which keeps getting worse at my 58 years, so was barely making it before being evicted and it was a total miracle I found a nicer apartment for less rent. I am in the process of filing for disability; however, you've heard how long that takes and I don't believe my landlord is going to keep me since my very first rent was late, and this coming will be and my power is about to be turned off. I've worked 34 years with epilepsy, still trying with a stroke and found a job two weeks ago, and now they're not calling me for jobs. My profession, I work when I'm called and have prayed for more work.  I'm from Birmingham, Alabama, where people knew I could work with epilepsy, and I was claimed to be the best.  These past 10-12 years here in Tampa, once they discover you have epilepsy, they find a reason to be afraid to send you work.  How can that be if I've worked all of my life?   

Thank you for any helpful places I can go to. I already am paying back two paycheck advances -- well, planning to. I may not sound bad, but have been in ER twice due to not being able to afford medical insurance, can't get it, nor medicine. And I have let so many people in trouble sleep on my couch when I could have been killed and am sure it contributed to my eviction, seeing homeless and down-on-their luck staying with me.  Only reason saying that - maybe it's my turn for help and a friend to talk to, which does wonders for my chronic depression (most epileptics have due to medication).

But if you ever need someone to talk to I'm here." Like WTF is that all about? Us people in need are in need of temporary financial assistance and venting to someone just to talk is the last thing we need. Why message someone if you cannot help them?  in response to distressedmommaof5...   tell the judge that..... get a paper from your employer stating you are in trainging and the money you will be making at that time give a copy to the judge so the court will have it. pray the landlord will have a change of heart (god can do this) and grant you the extension... as for your husband start filling out paperwork for SSI it takes 6 mos to get it started, file unemployment, go to food banks, food, shelter, love will pull you thru this as long as you keep God always close...... keep me posted....

I am 20 years old and work with a youth group for breast cancer. I only get paid about $50 dollars a week if I am lucky. My boyfriennd works construction but he hasnt had a job to work on for a month now. I also recently found out that I am pregnant. This is a miracle baby. I was not supposed to have children due to a horrible ectopic pregnancy that destroyed my chances. We are currently 2 weeks overdue on the rent and have to pay the remainder of $300 plus eletricity. Our rent is $459 which we still have to worry about next month also. DES will not help because I am a full time student and I cannot get a doctors notice stating I am pregnant because my insurance was cancelled. Someone please help us out. I have been homeless before and I dont want to put my unborn child through that.

I am a married mother of 5. My husband had to quit his job in May due to medical problems and we have gotten behind on our rent. I am working a full time job but not making enough. In January, my boss is sending me through training to go into management at the store where I work which will bring a significant pay increase. My best friend who is more like an sister to me and I need help bad to pay our rent to keep an roof over our four kids heads.. I am also seven months pregnant and high risk. Bc I had diabetes and high blood pressure... The father of my baby use to live here to help pay for the rent and bills but I had to throw him out bc three months ago he raped my best friends oldest daughter and ever since he left we been struggling.. I am literally out of money (overdraft in the bank) and can't pay rent for October 1st so they will probably start discussing the eviction process within a few weeks. I don't have money for food or toilet paper (although i did find a food pantry around the corner that helped) and no money for gas for my car. I have a stack of bills that keep adding up and I don't know what to do. My credit is being ruined and I keep getting other late fees and interest and stuff added onto some of the bills.

I am feeling suicidal. Diagnosed with depression in 2009, I thought moving to another area would be helpful. I haven't been able to find a job, I'm facing losing my apartment, my car is being repossessed... In tired. Just so tired of trying anymore.

I am only able to help by offering my time and writing skills. I have written many successful hardship letter to creditors.  I'll be glad to do the same for you if you need help.  I also do resumes for free if you need an updated one. I realize that in times like this, money is the only thing that will help. If you will give me a list of the places you've already contacted, it will help me narrow down other places to look for help.

Hi, I am a 26 year old single mother of three young children (6,2,3). I have been looking for housing assistance for months now and I haven't had any luck. I live with my mom, brother and sister in a small 3 bedroom apt. It is way too cramped for me and my kids. I am currently unemployed and only receive 618 per month from government assistance. That's not enough to pay rent or daycare. I am a struggling single mom trying to get back on my feet. Is there any help out there?

Hello, I need help and don't know what to do! I am a 50-ish, hearing impaired, mentally ill female (somewhat managed with medication) who has recently applied for disability and SSI... these things take time and there's no guarantee of approval, what with lack of funding. I have never been in this kind of situation before... right now I have no job, no money, no car, no cellphone, no medical insurance... and I will soon have no place to go. I have been living with my partner of several years, but apparently he can't handle being in a relationship anymore and recently announced he wants me gone. I have nowhere to go and no way to even get there if I did. I suffer from depression, anxiety and social isolation. I have no friends or family to turn to for help. The weather is getting wetter and colder, and I'm terrified of being out on the streets alone... I have a difficult time trusting people due to some past trauma in my life. Can anyone help??? I'm a 50 year old disabled single mother of a 13 year girl. I've worked all my life and this is the first time I've found myself without any income, I can't pay any bills or rent I go days without sleep, I get sick and can't eat.
I'm on food stamps and tanf, I have proof and can send it to you. All I need is for someone to help me, I pay back as soon as my SSI comes in. I'm scared sleepless. Please help me. I'm not begging I do promise to pay you back.

I am a single mother needing help I am homeless and will be living in my car. I can't seam to get no help. I had a job interview and had to walk 3Hrs wht do I do I can't believe I am in this place. I have called the resources, but can not get ass't Guss I will be in my car.

I need help with my rent i am behind a month and the management company is already talking about evicting me with a three day notice, am a single mother of two kids and i am disabled, i have gone and called all the local places that i know that help in my area and they all say that they are out of money, i dont know what to do..

 in response to Inspiration...   I currently work at a mortgage company and sales are very slow. I would normally have a check or two by now in the amount of 2 to $5,000. But unfortunately that hasn't happened in the last couple of months. My landlord has worked with me all that she could, but now she's demanding that all payment due now. I could survive , but I have kids in school. This would be devastating to them.

I am currently on workman's comp. My fiance and her two girls live with me along with having my own boys 2-3 days a week. I have 3 boys. My fiance has been abused since she was a child and is just starting to reclaim her life thru therapy. But she can't work... physical issues from the years of trauma, an additional abusive first marriage didn't help... and then there are the mental trauma's and ongoing issues... We barely made it when I was working now that I can't and may not be able to at all because of my own physical limitations. She has applied for disability and I probably should.... but what do we do now.... rent 4 mos behind, electric the same....just basic living expences take all the money I get.... how do I keep the roof over this family's head and allow them the time to heal. The kids are just starting to make friends again. their grades are starting to come up.. What do I do? all of the state agencies or charities say they are out of money or I don't qualify because it isn't bad enough...My landlord is a family friend but they have bills too and can only let us slide so far...
